The Pug is a stable, adaptable and even-tempered breed. These companion dogs live to please people and make adaptable family companions. Charming and playful, the Pug is known for its outgoing and affectionate disposition.


Most likely originating in Asia around 400BC, Pugs were first kept as pets by Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. Later, these compact companions became popular across Europe when the King William II brought the breed into fashion in England.
